Within the scope of Clustering Support Programme of the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology under the coordination of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTSO) and with the execution of BUTEKOM, the preliminary evaluation phase was passed in the framework of the program on 15.10.2015.
 
In this context, the 3 day-long Cluster Training Programme which was the first training of the Sustainable Home Textile Cluster (SETEK) project were successfully implemented with the participation of cluster members. Financial support for this training was provided within the Technical Support Programme of BEBKA, which was taken by UTİB.
 
In the whole day training programme held between the dates of 9 - 11 November, the concept of cluster was emphasized to provide conceptual integrity and it was revealed that the cluster should be a tool rather than an aim. Investigated and improved outputs of cluster studies in different sectors, establishment, progression, strengths and weaknesses of successful clusters in the world such as Iceland, Yorkshire and the Humber, Modacc in Spain Clusters were examined and theoretical and practical applications of the Izmir Organic UR-GE (International Competitiveness Development Project), as the first pilot cluster sample in our country, were discussed. 
 
The necessity of a good strategic analysis and a good competition analysis of requirements defined clearly was emphasized during the training. By looking at the strategies of the participants in the sector, how the value chains could be formed, was examined, then analysed through 5 models for competitive power. 

The impact of the Fast Fashion trend on the global textile and garment industry and the requirements it brought were discussed with the understanding of strategies that Zara, IKEA, Koton, which are important brand formations in the sector indigenised for their progression, competition and market forces were talked over. The complex structure of the value chain, how it provides barriers for existence in the sector, how its customers have had effective roles in determination process of production; as well as the success of evaluating opportunities of Zara, which is an important brand in the world were discussed.
